Every Princess Needs a Crown


Not to be outdone by her princess loving sister, Finley decided she needed a crown, too.

We noticed her head was a bit asymmetrical a few months ago and over time it didn't seem to improve. She was diagnosed with torticollis (the muscle on one side of her neck were weaker than the other) so she was favoring looking to/ sleeping on the right. As a result, our Fincess has been going to physical therapy (and doing great) and wearing a "craniocap" (a helmet that reshapes the head by holding some bones in place, allowing growth in other areas). She wears the cap 23 hours a day and despite my fear that she would have a hard time, I quickly learned that the only adjustment necessary was mine. Mommy was a little sad to cover up her beautiful baby's head, but once we decorated the helmet I grew to love it.
