It is hard to believe that our Disney trip has come and gone already. It seems like that trip was in the works for so long (the idea was hatched before I was even pregnant!) - hard to believe how fast time flies when you are having fun. My parents, Harper and I were there from Thursday - Wednesday and Adam was able to swing a quick trip Friday night - Monday morning to experience Harper's first Disney trip (and, of course, see us finish the race).
I am pleased (but not surprised) to declare that my dad's first marathon was a success. It was a great experience to run the race together. We got to talk and enjoy the course together and we were there to cheer each other on when we needed it most. Dad and I headed out of the room at 3:15am on race morning, while Grandma Drelick, Daddy and Harper slept in before coming to the finish line.
During the planning process I had anticipated that Harper would be "too young" for Disney, but that the race was the real draw. However, we were all pleasantly surprised with how perfect Harper's age was for the trip. She was enthralled by all the music (kicking and bouncing away) and seemed amazed by the lights and sounds (and, conveniently, too young to be scared by anything geared toward the adults - so she could tag along to most everything). We took advantage of "rider swap" on the big rides, so we all got a chance to ride the adult rides without someone having to wait through the long line twice or alone. The weather was perfect and we even got to take Harper to the pool for the first time - she loved the water!
Below are some (ok, a ton of) pictures from the trip. Enjoy!
Just arrived at Saratoga Springs and ready to hit the parks!
Yeah! First full day at Disney - off to Epcot!
Disney is exhausting (we haven't left the Epcot parking lot yet).
On Figment!
Hanging out with "Vacation Gramps"
Cutest Minnie Mouse in the world
Trying out the big bath tub (someday she will hate me for this)
More tub fun
Trying out some sparkly Minnie ears
Meeting a Princess (we need to bone up on our Disney princesses, we weren't sure who this was)
Sleeping with her new friend Piglet. (We figured we better buy it when it went into her mouth within 2 seconds of holding it)
Dad and I with the Toy Story crew before the marathon (don't we look chipper for 3:30am?)
"Oooh Shiny medal"
Proud - and exhausted
First swimming pool experience! Loved it!
More swimming
Grams eating ice cream at 10am during our last Magic Kingdom day
Riding the carousel with Grams (and coming dangerously close to a blowout while on board)

Loving the warm weather
Hanging by the pool
Dinner the last night overlooking the Magic Kingdom
Hanging with Gramps at dinner
