Watch Me Grow!

Our little baby is 11 months old! I cannot comprehend how the last 11 months went by so quickly. In some ways it really feels like we just left the hospital and in others it seems like she has been a part of our lives forever!

As you can see from the pictures, she is warming back up to Winnie the Pooh. She wasn't willing to pose for pictures sitting alone with him but was willing to sit next to him- which was progress! (Actually, the next day she was willing to visit pooh with only loose supervision).

Standing next to Pooh, but definitely not letting go of Mommy.

She is much more comfortable in her own chair.

Finally, after much persuasion, she was willing to pet Pooh.

Life with Harper:
• She is exhausting... This little girl is a perpetual motion machine!
• She is constantly pulling up on things and stands holding on with one hand- but not alone yet.
• She babbles- a lot and very loudly.
• We are pretty sure she says dada (appropriately) and dog. (Adam is much more convinced about the differences between these words. I have a hard time telling them apart since neither have an ending- that are more like "Da" and "duh").
• She recently started walking behind a push toy. She is very stiff legged, but her daily progress is pretty amazing.
• She gives her daddy kisses (which she apparently learned from Hesburgh since they are often similar to licks).
• She eats pretty much any adult food. Her recent favorites are still blueberries and cheese. She also recently learned she likes goldfish and teddy grahams.
• She still doesn't nap- and it is starting to take its toll on her attitude by the end of her motion filled day.
•The weather has been gorgeous and she has fallen in love with the outside! We bought her a little chair (pictures to come in the next post) and she loves to sit in the front yard.
•She loves the dog and he seems to be warming up to her- she pats him and even occasionally climbs on him and in return he enjoys leftovers from her high chair!
• She tries her best to investigate everything- especially the bottom drawers and any open cabinet. (She even climbed onto the open dishwasher door last week).
• She does a little dance when music catches her attention- she either bounces or wiggles her butt back and forth.
• She waves and claps regularly- especially if you sing "if you're happy an you know it".
